Resistance Band Exercises Are No Joke

You know those resistance bands, looks like big rubber bands with handles on them? Used to be those things weren’t taken very seriously for working out. Probably still aren’t. But let me tell you, we’ve been using them in fitness class, and when used properly they can kick your butt.

I work out with weights. So when you give me a couple of rubber bands to work out with my natural instinct is to sniff in disapproval. “You want me to use these for curls?” Ha! Let me tell you, these resistance bands will give you a workout. We loop them around our feet and do curls with them. We do press ups. Think it’s easy? Think again. We put them under our step bench and do leg extension exercises. We grab a partner and loop the bands around each other and do arm and shoulder exercises. Gets painful quick!

I know, I thought it was crap too. Thought it was for the older citizens. Give me a barbell, man. But I’m a believer now. If you decide to give them a try you’ll find that they come in different thicknesses. First time using them I said give me the thick one. I did about two shoulder presses. I went and got the medium thickness resistance band and got all the workout I could handle.

    I am new o these bands, although they’ve been around for a while I didn’t realy know how to use them, but the great thing with this company was that they provide you with a full exercise manual with your purchase.

    Great service and a great way for anyone to get a kick start into using the bands. I highly recomend anyone purchasing of them. Bands are a great way to get that low impact solid work out.
